We’re often asked how the Irish Oodle name came to be. A mix between an Irish Setter and a Poodle is known as an Irish Oodle. The breed is often referred to as an Irish Doodle, which is inaccurate. There is no “D” in the name, but several Poodle mix breeds have earned the nickname “doodles,” which is where the misconception comes from.
Technically, the breed is known as the Irish Oodle.

Our journey has been filled with highs and lows, laughter and tears, sleepless nights, and moments of pure exhaustion, but our unwavering love for these dogs is evident in every puppy we bring into a new home.
Outstanding Puppy Preparation
We go to great lengths to ensure that all of our puppies are well-prepared for their new homes and families. Not all breeders are equal and prepare their puppies to the extent that we do. When your puppy is ready to join your family, it would have been:
Toilet Training: Starting from 3 to 4 weeks of age, we put in the hard work to give you a strong foundation. With our instructions and your diligence for just two weeks, you’ll reap the rewards tenfold.
Leash Training: From 6 weeks, our puppies are leash-trained using positive reinforcement to build their confidence.
Crate Training: Starting from four weeks of age and continuing until they leave our care, crate training is an essential tool. You never know when you might need it—for confinement due to injury, accommodating house visitors who are scared of dogs, or providing a safe place for your pup while you go shopping.
Puppy Enrichment: Our puppies are exposed to various household noises, different textures underfoot, and a variety of obstacles to navigate, push, pull, go over, and under. This enrichment helps them develop confidence and adaptability.
Flight and Travel Preparation
We meticulously prepare our puppies for possible flights or road travel. We organise all the travel arrangements and documents, so you only need to collect your pup at the designated time and place that we provide to you.
Guardian Program
Our guardian program allows our female dogs to live in loving homes rather than kennels. While it may require some families to temporarily part with their expectant mothers, it ensures our girls receive the love and care they deserve. If you’re interested in learning more, feel free to contact us.
Dual Locations in Queensland and Victoria
With locations in both Queensland and Victoria. Some of our girls live with guardian families, ensuring they lead normal family lives. Whether our puppies are born in Victoria or Queensland, we travel as needed to provide consistent care and attention.
Future Catch-Up Days
We are excited to announce future catch-up days in both Queensland and Victoria for our Irish Oodle families. It’s a wonderful opportunity to see how the puppies have grown, meet siblings or parents, and ask any questions you may have. This is part of our lifelong commitment to support our dogs and their families.
Therapy Dogs
